A collection of inspirational works for photographers seeking to take their portraiture and model photography to the next level.

These images have been curated to exclude works that are clearly NSFW but do include some implied nudity and the occasional raunchy style although nothing more than which can be readily seen on advertising billboards.

I have also generally excluded extremes of stylized imagery, composited imagery and face painting - yes it is arty, but not primarily in the realm of the photographer who is more concerned with lighting, depth of field, bokeh, composition, tonality, and the interaction with the subject.

Images have been flagged by main type of lighting (short-lit, broad-lit, rear-lit, back-lit, side-lit, rembrandt, outdoor, sun, cloudy, overcast, sunset), degree of makeup artistry or stylist (makeup, stylized, casual, natural), camera position (from-above, from-below, over-the-shoulder), etc.
